Winona, Minnesota. The Upper Midwest was hit by three severe blizzards in March 1881: March 2-4, 1881: 2-4 feet of snow fell across Wisconsin, including 28.5" at Milwaukee. March 10-13 saw an additional 9.6" snow fall in Milwaukee. March 19-20 saw 14.2" fall in Milwaukee. The severe blizzards also impacted surrounding states, including Minnesota.
